So the story of Icarus was…

In Metamorphoses Book VIII, the story of Daedalus and Icarus, Ovid wrote that Icarus’ father had advised and warned him the following: “Let me warn you, Icarus, to take the middle way, in case the moisture weighs down your wings, if you fly too low, or if you go too high, the sun scorches them. Travel between the extremes.”
Perhaps it’s meant to say, take calculated risk. Soar high but don’t be greedy, do nothing and the world will devour you. In the end you get to choose how high and how low.
